PTFE industries was formed in 1988 in New Britain, Connecticut with a focus on manufacturing skived PTFE sheets, tapes and films for distributors, gasket houses and the “OEM” markets.In 2005, PTFE Industries was acquired by Pelican Worldwide, a global manufacturer of valves and sealing solutions for the transport markets. This new acquisition moved PTFE Industries corporate headquarters and manufacturing unit to Houston, Texas to take advantage of the parent company's domestic and global resources which include on site custom compounding of PTFE and new equipment along with over 20,000 square feet of space.
